SMITH
SMITH is a Made in Italy synchronised body-balance mechanism, made entirely of plastic.
The use of this material is environmentally friendly with disassemblable components.
A unique feature of Smith is its design, with attention to the smallest details, which gives lightness to the seat.
The mechanism works thanks to an elastic plastic element that replaces the traditional steel spring.
This innovative system is protected by a patent filed by Cofemo:
– fluid and balanced synchronised movement;
– up to 20° of backrest oscillation and 6° of seat oscillation;
– seat attachment centre distance 153 mm x 200 mm for wooden or plastic seats;
– compatibility with Ergo seat, allowing a seat with integrated mechanics and depth adjustment.
